Aviator withdrawals and deposits in India: the whole money picture

The part of Aviator nobody explains properly is what happens to your money before and after the plane. Deposits are instant and frictionless by design; withdrawals are where the friction lives — KYC, limits, processing windows, tax, and since 2026, a payments system that is legally obliged to get in the way.

This page covers all of it plainly, including the parts casinos would rather you found out later.

Start here: the payment rails changed in 2026

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 bans online money games in India, and its Rules came into force on 1 May 2026. One of the three things the Act specifically prohibits is the processing of financial transactions connected to those games — banks and payment systems are not permitted to put them through, and the regulator coordinates with financial regulators to keep those routes closed.

In practice, for Indian players, that means:

  • Deposits fail more often than they used to — UPI collect requests time out, cards get declined, and the merchant IDs on the other end change constantly.
  • Withdrawals are the fragile end. A blocked corridor with your balance on the wrong side of it is not a customer-service problem you can escalate to an Indian regulator, because a prohibited money game cannot be registered with one.
  • Deposit routes get stranger. Personal UPI IDs, third-party "agents", crypto-only cashiers and constantly rotating payment pages are all symptoms of an operator that has lost access to normal rails.

Read the full legal position before you decide what to do with that. The rest of this page describes how the mechanics work.

Deposit methods, compared

Method Typical speed Typical minimum Notes
UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) Instant ₹100–₹500 The default for Indian players; also the route most affected by blocking
IMPS / NEFT bank transfer 5 min – 2 hours ₹500–₹1,000 Slower, leaves a clear bank record
Debit / credit card Instant ₹500 Frequently declined for gaming merchants; some issuers block outright
E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, AstroPay) Instant ₹500 Adds a hop; the wallet has its own KYC and fees
Crypto (USDT, BTC) 5–30 min Varies Volatile, irreversible, and no recourse if anything goes wrong

Deposits are almost never where the trouble is. They are engineered to be effortless, and every operator invests heavily in making them so. Judge a platform on the other direction.

How a withdrawal actually works

  1. Complete KYC first, before you need it. This is the single most useful thing on this page. Verification is what turns a two-day withdrawal into a two-week one, and casinos ask for it at withdrawal time rather than signup time — which means the delay always lands when you want your money.
  2. Request the withdrawal to the same method you deposited with. Most operators enforce this "closed loop" rule and will reject a request to a different account or a third party's account.
  3. Wait out the internal review. The operator approves it — typically a few hours to 48 hours, longer at weekends, longer again for a first withdrawal or a large one.
  4. Wait out the payment rail. UPI/IMPS is minutes once approved; a bank transfer can add a working day; crypto is network time.
Stage Realistic time What slows it
KYC verification 1–72 hours Blurry documents, name mismatch, address proof older than 3 months
Operator approval 2–48 hours First withdrawal, large amount, unmet bonus wagering, weekend
Payment transfer Minutes – 2 working days Method, bank, blocked corridors

KYC documents you will need

  • Identity: PAN card or Aadhaar (or passport / driving licence).
  • Address: a utility bill or bank statement, usually dated within three months.
  • Payment ownership: a screenshot of the UPI ID or a bank statement header showing the account is in your name.
  • Sometimes a selfie holding the ID document.

The name on all of them must match the account name exactly. "Same person, different spelling" is the most common reason a withdrawal sits in review.

What actually blocks a withdrawal

  • Bonus wagering not cleared. A deposit bonus locks your balance until the wagering requirement is met. This is the number-one cause of "they won't pay me" complaints, and it is almost always in the terms you accepted. If you never want this problem, decline the bonus.
  • Depositing with one method, withdrawing to another. Closed-loop rules exist for anti-money-laundering reasons and are enforced strictly.
  • Name mismatch between the account, the KYC documents and the bank account.
  • Withdrawing below the minimum or above a daily/weekly cap.
  • Multiple accounts from one household, IP or device — usually grounds for confiscation, not just delay.
  • Payment corridor blocked. The 2026 rules make this a structural risk, not a rare one.

Tax on winnings: the numbers Indian players miss

Indian tax law treats online-gaming winnings as their own category, and it is unusually strict.

Rule What it means
Section 115BBJ Net winnings from online games are taxed at a flat 30%
Section 194BA The payer must deduct 30% TDS at withdrawal, or at the end of the financial year, whichever is earlier
No threshold The old ₹10,000 exemption was removed — 30% applies from the first rupee of net winnings
No deductions You cannot set off losses, expenses or the basic exemption limit against them
Slab rate does not apply 30% is flat, regardless of your total income
28% GST on deposits Levied on the full face value of the deposit, not on the operator's margin
ITR Winnings are declared under "Income from Other Sources"; TDS already deducted is credited

Two implications people get wrong:

"Net winnings" is a formula, not a feeling. It is calculated across the financial year on withdrawals net of deposits, so you cannot avoid it by withdrawing in small pieces.

An offshore operator will not deduct TDS for you. That does not remove the liability — it moves the entire compliance burden onto you, and leaves you declaring income from a source the law now prohibits. Speak to a chartered accountant about that combination rather than to a casino's support chat.

Red flags that a platform will not pay

  • KYC is only requested after your first withdrawal request, and the requirements grow each time you satisfy them.
  • The cashier asks you to send money to a personal UPI ID or through an "agent" on WhatsApp or Telegram.
  • Support offers you a bonus to cancel a pending withdrawal. This is a retention script, and taking it re-locks your balance behind wagering.
  • Withdrawal limits far below deposit limits — deposit ₹50,000 instantly, withdraw ₹5,000 a day.
  • Terms that allow the operator to void winnings from "irregular play" without defining it.
  • No verifiable licence, no company name, no registered address anywhere on the site.

The pattern to internalise: a platform's deposit page tells you what it wants; its withdrawal page tells you what it is.

Practical checklist

  • Complete KYC on day one, before you have a balance riding on it.
  • Deposit and withdraw with the same method, in your own name.
  • Screenshot the terms of any bonus you accept, especially the wagering multiple.
  • Withdraw in normal-sized chunks rather than emptying an account at once.
  • Keep your own record of deposits and withdrawals for the financial year — you will need it for the ITR regardless of what the operator sends you.
  • Never chase a stuck withdrawal by depositing more. That is the exact moment the money is most at risk.

FAQ about Aviator withdrawals

How do I withdraw money from the Aviator game?

You withdraw from the casino account that hosts Aviator, not from the game itself. Complete KYC, request a withdrawal to the same method you deposited with, wait for the operator's approval (typically 2–48 hours) and then for the payment transfer (minutes to two working days).

Why is my Aviator withdrawal pending?

The usual causes are unfinished KYC, an unmet bonus wagering requirement, a mismatch between your account name and your bank details, a request below the minimum or above a daily cap, or a blocked payment corridor. Approval queues also run slower at weekends and for first-time withdrawals.

How long does an Aviator withdrawal take?

Once approved, UPI and IMPS transfers usually land within minutes, and bank transfers within one to two working days. Approval itself typically takes 2–48 hours, plus up to 72 hours for KYC if you have not completed it in advance.

Is there tax on Aviator winnings in India?

Yes. Net winnings from online games are taxed at a flat 30% under Section 115BBJ, with 30% TDS deducted at withdrawal under Section 194BA. There is no minimum threshold and no deductions or loss set-off allowed, and winnings must be declared in your ITR under Income from Other Sources.

Why do my UPI deposits to casinos keep failing?

Because the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits banks and payment systems from processing transactions connected to online money games, and the Rules enforcing it took effect on 1 May 2026. Failed and reversed payments are the intended effect of the law rather than a fault at the casino.

What is the minimum Aviator withdrawal?

It is set by the casino, not by the game, and commonly sits between ₹500 and ₹1,000. Check the cashier page for your operator, along with the daily and monthly caps, which matter far more than the minimum.

Do I need KYC to withdraw?

Yes, at any legitimate operator. Expect to provide photo ID (PAN, Aadhaar, passport or licence), an address proof dated within three months, and evidence that the payment account is in your own name. Completing it before you have money waiting is the difference between a two-day and a two-week withdrawal.
